It is advised to not use the ascent from Paraty, especially some few days after rainfall. Coming from Rio or São Paulo by the Via Dutra highway, you are to turn off at Guaratinguetá, toward Paraty. After some 40kms you've come to pass Cunha's last of 4 entrances. From there it's a mere 1.5kms to the chalets. They are situated in what is referred to as Cunha's "Morro Grande".
